Good Morning All!

We hope you have had a nice Easter Break and have had a good brain break!

This half term our topic will be 'Animals including humans'. It is really important we learn lots about body parts and senses and be able to link them together so we understand which part of the body is associated with each sense. We will also be learning about animals, thinking about what type of animal they are i.e. mammal, bird, amphibian, reptile, fish, insect, identify whether they are a carnivore, herbivore or omnivore and also be able to name parts of a animal i.e. beak, wings, claws etc.  All of the ideas we have on our Topic sheet are to spread over this half term to do with your children.

As before Easter Break we have including Phonics, Maths and English learning as a day by day plan. With Phonics if your child has completed Set 1/2/3 it is important at this stage that they review these sets of sounds again to consolidate their knowledge. Please feel free to contact us if you're not sure :)

On the Year 1 homepage, there is now a button to some spellings. Each set of spellings has 6 different spelling patterns. Please do one pattern at a time to support your child doing this.

Keep in contact and most of all stay safe,

Miss Patterson, Miss Garner and Mrs Lewis :)
