This half-term, Year 4 have taken part in the Wild Poems project at Carlton Marshes. Both classes took part in three fun-filled days. Here is what we got up to:
The first half-day, we focused on confidence-building and familiarisation with the business of writing new poems. We also discussed the local landscape and wildlife on the Carlton Marshes site.
On the second day, we built a group poem using ideas we found walking around Carlton Marshes.
The final day focused on completing and fine-tuning our group poems using the material gathered and recording our group poem's performance. Our poem was inspired by our time at Carlton Marshes and the local landscape and wildlife. Each of us contributed to the poem, and we had an amazing time!
