Curriculum Development and Leadership (3 year plan)
Our curriculum development and leadership is designed in 4 phases – constant; maintaining (moving to outstanding); developing and initiating.
This has been done to ensure that subjects are thought about in depth and leadership skills are developed so that leaders are confident in their subject knowledge and leadership and management. We want our subject leaders to be deeply involved in their subject, to be the ‘experts’ in their field; to be confident in the quality of learning that is being offered and to know that outcomes are good and why.
Our curriculum developments have flexed and changed due to the needs and responses of the pandemic – what was in place before March 2020 is no longer what our young people need and decisions were taken in terms of curriculum design to put physical and mental well-being at the heart of our priorities.
