At Elm Tree we teach Science in blocks of learning.  We use questions to be investigated as our driver.  We want our pupils to be curious and inquisitive about Science  - working scientifically, absorbing knowledge and solving problems. 

Our curriculum is both knowledge and skills rich.  We have planned it this way to ensure that all prior knowledge is a building block for the next learning steps. 

In our science lessons we work as teams of 3 to investigate, discuss, analyse and hypothesis.  We use the language of science in both our oral discussions and a our written outcomes.
