York - Day 3
And the final day had arrived! After breakfast, when all bags were packed and hotel rooms were emptied, we set off for Flamingo Land.
There was a spontaneous round of applause when the park came into view and the children were quick to get off the coach and queue up for the rides. Obviously, Mr Smith joined them for the Mumbo Jumbo - the tallest rollercoaster and a hair-raising scary one!
Not all the children were thrill-loving, some where more sensible and just got drenched on the water ride! However, on the whole, most of the children came off laughing, ready to join the next queue.
We were extremely impressed with how mature the children were at being in the right place at the right time and following our instructions in their groups; it made the day really enjoyable for all.
The journey home was quiet and calm. Mrs Chapman played More or Less with the whole coach and we enjoyed a mini assembly in which the children and staff made some 'kind callouts' for all the wonderful acts of kindness we had seen.
It was an absolute pleasure being with the children and sharing their experiences - they have really made us very proud.
